Life on Words is a long-form interview show that hovers around one question: what has your life of working in words cost you, and what has it given you in return?

The conversations are about the life behind the work — the journey, what it brought, and how a career in words shapes the person who has one.

Guests are novelists, agents, publishers, booksellers, songwriters, and editors, at every stage. Some have sixty books and prestigious awards. Some have a first book coming out and a day job. The question is the same either way, and the answers are rarely what you'd predict.

The host

Terry Heath is a writer and educator in the Puget Sound area of Washington State. He has taught college English since 2010, is founding editor of Inkhorn Review, and is a pop-up bookseller around the region.
